The Nativity Fast preceding the Feast of the Nativity of our Lord is given to us to help us clear the garbage and clutter out of our lives that keeps us from seeing Jesus Christ as He is: the eternal Son of God born in the flesh of Mary for us and for our salvation. May there be room found in our hearts for Him! Let us use the fast to seek more of Him in our lives through prayer, fasting, almsgiving, good deeds, and the reading of Scripture and other spiritual literature.
